Natalie Gulbis is an American professional golfer who plays on the U.S. LPGA Tour. She was born and raised in Sacramento California. Her family has Latvian ancestry. She was raised as an only child. By the age of four, she was already starting to gain interest in golf. Once she reached the age of seven she had won her first tournament, and was breaking par by 10.
She managed to play in her first LPGA Tour event in 1997 at the age of 14. She was given a golf scholarship to the University of Arizona.
Although she didn’t win a tournament until her sixth season on tour, she did finish sixth place on the LPGA money list during her fourth season, with over $1 million in earnings in 2005.
With her striking good looks, she was also considered a sex symbol in the LPGA and released a 2005 calendar. It featured her not only playing golf, but also posing in various swimwear. The USGA (the United States Golf Association) banned the calendar from being sold at the event deeming it too inappropriate. However it was sold openly at Golf Canada.
In 2006, Gulbis began writing a monthly advice column in FHM. In 2009, she appeared in the second season of Celebrity Apprentice.
