Michelle Wie finally improved her game

Michelle Wie finally improved her game

Michelle Wie showed us an incredible result on Saturday. She successfully launched herself into the 3rd round at Lancaster Country Club. This means that she has high chances of defending her title of the U.S. Women’s Open. After the round, Wie said that she played with a pain, for some time, but later things were much better. She is proud on herself and she will continue with good results.

Since May when this champion withdrew from the Kingsmill Championship, she had problems with the pain in her left hip. Sadly, this wasn’t the only problem since the last year, when she won the U.S. Women’s Open. Wie had several setbacks in this season. She worked with David Leadbetter, a longtime instructor, in order to change her swing. After all, she must do this in order to minimize the stress on her left hip. Luckily, those changes are successful. This means that she is finally playing well. Maybe this will be the most important tournament of the season. Now, Wie enters in the final round (6 strokes back of Amy Yang).

Wie announced that she is happy with her new swing. She had to change it in order to continue with her game. Now, Wie is trying to continue moving forward. Even better is that she is feeling happy and she will try to be even happier.

At the tournament, Wie managed to put together two rounds in the 60s. This is the first time in the season she did this. She is happy that she has an opportunity to play. In the final round, Michelle Wie will play with Chella Choi.
