Go through the paces at warm-ups
Warming up is one of the most crucial parts of practice sessions for proper development of your form and avoiding injuries. Do NOT on any account skip or rush through warm-ups if you want the practice to go smoothly.
Make sure you cover all the basics
Practicing long tosses and focusing particularly on upping the velocity and placement of your pitches should form the bulk of your training. Also, do not forget to practice pick-offs, defensive plays and other parts of your game to ensure all-round development.
