Shouldn’t we be putting the kids to sleep before 12 in the night? Well, that is what most rule books for perfect parenting would say. However, if there is an electrifying college baseball game going on, and is already into the extra innings, perhaps your kids can sleep a little late. You just couldn’t have missed the game between Aggies and Horned Frogs.
The game that started on Monday morning between Texas A&M and TCU went well into the Tuesday morning, thanks to some enthralling performances by the players that kept the viewers on the edge of their seats. Well, this is the kind of game that we expect from the series. This was the kind of game that keeps the spirit of the tournament alive. It was much after midnight when the TCU edged past their might opponent and scored a winning run. The scoring run came right at the bottom of the 16th inning. Well, this may be the lowlight of the game, but nonetheless, the overall show was truly captivating.
In the 16th, two got out and Garrett Crain or TCU was already at the second base. But Evan Skoug, the TCU catcher, did something spectacular. He hit a grounder which went right behind the third base and the opponent baseman, Ronnie Gideon, fielded it. However, he somehow faltered and mishandled the ball. While he should have thrown the ball to the first base, he aimed at Crain. This apparently was the deciding moment. However, both the teams played exceptionally well Such games are remembered for a long time.
